Role of Mollanasrеddinists in formation of educational and modernist ideas in Azerbaijan at the beginning of the 20th century

Abstract

The beginning of the 20th century was the eve of another transformation in the history of Azerbaijan. Revolutionary changes in the social, political, cultural and economic spheres led to the renewal of consciousness and thinking, the formation of a new worldview. Mollanasraddinists were the leading intellectuals of the time. They were the founder of a new direction in philosophical thought, and developed a critical-realistic movement in Azerbaijan.
