The question of the development of professional competences among students, their mastery of practical methods and technologies in a specific field is extremely relevant. The author emphasizes that the strengthening of professional competences, in particular, determines the ability of the future technology teacher to act successfully in new, unforeseen conditions.The article examines the method of forming the practical skills of future technology teachers in the process of a technological workshop, characterizes the technologies, methods of metalworking operations that ensure the formation of the professional competence of future technology teachers, such as the ability to make products with the help of various hand tools, hand electrified tools, as well as a wide range of additional technological equipment.The author of the article came to the conclusion that that the formation of practical skills of future technology teachers in institutions of higher education in the process of mastering the specified discipline “Technology practicum” involves the following stages of its mastering by future technology teachers: alignment, marking, bending, cutting, sawing, sawing. Abstract

Today’s modern society needs competent specialists who know how to think creatively, find original solutions and are ready for innovative activities.
