The scientific novelty of the article lies in the philosophical understanding of the modern issue of mental security by means of the ethical and philosophical heritage associated with the idea of existential well-being. The concept of existential well-being in Russian philosophy, which has an ethical nature, is highlighted. The purpose of the study is to study the contribution of Russian philosophy to the modern discussion about mental security as an important condition for existential well-being. The article considers several approaches (existential, phenomenological, ethical, philosophical and anthropological) to the study of fundamental issues in the context of the studied issues.
