Abstract
This research is a study on the challenges of Syphilis in the male population: Perception of Nursing a cross-sectional analysis. This sickness is caused by the espiroqueta Treponema pallidum bacteria, and the transmission has been observed to occur through two different ways: sexualy (a.k.a. "adquirida") or congenitally. This bacterial sickness has the potential to bring severe complications by reaching multiple organs and systems. When it reaches the nervous system, the sickness is called neurosyphilis, for an exemple. The general goal of this research is to investigate the procedures and the challenges of the nursery in the public health centers in Vitória (ES) in order to: recognize possible problems; to put together hypothetical actions; and to come up with strategies that are connected to an educational approach with this population so they can understand how important it is for men to have self care and how efficiente a bunch of simple actions can be in the fight of syphilis. This is a quantitative study and it is mainly based on an descriptive research that was extracted from interviews with nineteen nurses who where selected randomly in an non- probabilistic approach using the "snowball" method. This study runs it interviews in the Google Forms web app. Once the data is properly analyzed, and once the didactical material is already done, published and distributed, by the end of this research, the expected results is the didactical material to become a truly rich support in the fight of this sickness and, why not, the decreasing of the transmission as this population acquires the proper preventive habits.
