Abstract

Access to adequate and reliable electricity is paramount for the adaptation and resilience of typhoon-prone coastal communities, particularly in the face of intensifying challenges posed by climate change. Climate-related extreme weather events, such as typhoons and their consequent flooding and storm surges, exert significant pressure on electricity systems in these vulnerable regions, affecting every aspect from generation to transmission, distribution, and end-user utilization.
