Abstract

Enhancing oral health among older adults remains a per- sistent and critical public health concern. Numerous stud- ies highlight a high prevalence of oral health conditions and a direct relationship between oral health and quality of life in older people. Good oral health correlates with successful aging, making it pivotal. Addressing the neg- ative impact of these conditions becomes imperative in improving the overall well-being of older individuals, con- stituting a significant public health challenge. Translating knowledge into actionable programs remains a primary obstacle in enhancing oral health for this group. The WHO recommends countries adopt strategies to improve the oral health of older people. Sustaining and promoting oral health in the aging population, alongside tailored pro- grams and strategies meeting their intricate oral and sys- temic health, retains utmost importance. Strengthening control over oral diseases in older populations mandates accessible and affordable oral health services that cater to their specific requirements.
