Patrikova zem

Abstract

The archaeological site Nitrianska Streda-Patrikova is located in the Topoľčany district. The aim of the paper is not only a comprehensive assessment of the history of the exploration and research of the site, as well as the results of archaeological research in an interdisciplinary context. The article analyses the available historical sources scattered in several publications and summarizes the archaeology at the Patrikova site in a previously unpublished light. This concerns in particular the historical-geographical, cartographic, linguistic and toponomastic sources related to the site. This new segment of interdisciplinary research (especially archival research) will certainly make it possible in the future to bring additional data for a more detailed reconstruction of the image of Terra Patrik and its micro-region in the Middle Ages.
