A quantitative research approach was employed, collecting data from 1067 participants in two separate time periods through a survey. The findings, gathered at different time points, indicate that a proactive personality significantly and positively affects job crafting. Moreover, organization-based self-esteem emerges as both a partial mediator and a moderator in this relationship. The study highlights the significance of proactive thinking and having a sense of self-esteem within the organizational context for employees to engage in job crafting. Abstract
