Abstract
Objectives: This study was designed to confirm the effects of natural products on the control of facial pain.
Methods: In this study, 5% formalin was injected into the face of the experimental animals to induce pain behavioral responses, and sulforaphane 15 μg or 150 μg/50 μl and resveratrol 20 μg or 200 μg/50 μl were pre-treated to confirm the pain control effects.
Results: The two drugs showed pain-modifying effects in a concentration-dependent manner. In addition, a significant analgesic effect was confirmed when the two drugs were co-administered at low concentrations.
Conclusions: Therefore, through this experiment, sulforaphane and resveratrol can be effective therapeutic agents for controlling orofacial pain.
