Ethical Analysis of the Possible Introduction of Chemical Castration as a Criminal Sanction

Abstract

In this article, I will list the ethical considerations to be taken into account when examining the possible introduction of chemical castration as a criminal sanction, by looking at the international conventions and by comparing the pro and con arguments in several foreign journals and studies. However, it is not yet the purpose of this paper to answer the question of what the author thinks about the possibility of introduction on the basis of an examination of the ethical aspects. The present study aims only to give an overview of the difficulties of answering this question.
