Abstract
Introduction: To identify the most evident impacts and challenges for teaching in courses focused on health in the specific period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Systematic review that used the PRISMA protocol. The acronym PEO. The scientific studies were selected through the databases: Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Scientific Electronic Library Online. The terms in Portuguese and English were selected: remote teaching and teacher training; remote teaching and COVID and teacher training; remote teaching and COVID and COVID and teacher training (remote teaching and COVID and COVID and teacher training). Results: 52 articles were found and 11 were selected that were consistent with the guiding question, with the delimiting inclusion criteria and according to the screening steps and eligibility criteria. Conclusion: The findings of this review indicated that the epidemiological reality in the world affected by COVID 19 had an impact on the pedagogical practice of teachers, since in a very short time scale, the traditional class model was replaced by remote classes, given the biosecurity measure which enforced social distancing. The new scenario outlined by the use of technology indicates that there have been advances in the educational process, considering that it required teachers and students to have a new look at the teaching and learning process, mediated by information and communication technology.
