USO DO LEAN MANUFACTURING EM LABORATÓRIOS DE ENSINO PARA REDUÇÃO DE DESPERDÍCIOS E MELHORIAS NA PRODUTIVIDADE

Abstract

The competition environment between companies is intense, a fact that obliges them to continuously promote changes. This is also the reality experienced by Higher Education Institutions. Universities have been undergoing a significant change in relation to the conduct of their activities with the reduction of their budget due to the current situation in the country, which compromises the payment of outsourced services such as purchases of materials and maintenance of equipment. In view of this, the work proposes a cost reduction methodology using the tools that the Lean philosophy provides and bringing the benefits of this methodology to the activities developed in the laboratory sectors. In this way, as a general objective of this study, we will use the lean concept of the Lean philosophy to know how to optimize the process of material economy and aim at increasing productivity in Teaching laboratories. In order to carry out the present study, a bibliographic review was necessarily developed. As a conclusion, it was possible to identify that the Lean Manufacturing instrument makes possible a considerable gain, exalting its benefits and stimulating the assimilation of its concepts, showing positive results.
