The purpose of this study was to determine the level of media literacy towards the attitude of students of SMK Negeri 1 Batam. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. This research will be conducted from March to July 2023. The sample size of 338 correspondents was determined by quota sampling and Uses and Gratifications Theory. Data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study obtained a high score in the statement \"I understand the news I read\" showing that students of SMK Negeri 1 Batam have a high understanding of the absorption of news information in accordance with the goal of having high literacy. While the ability to compare news has the lowest score which shows that students of SMK Negeri 1 Batam are less willing to compare some of the news presented because it is too time-consuming.
