CELL DEATH: A MODERN VIEW OF APOPTOSIS AND AUTOPHAGY

Abstract

The purpose of the work – to analyze the literature data regarding the current state ofresearch on cell death, the relationship between the signaling pathways of apoptosis andautophagy in various pathologies, as well as the key mediators of both processes.Conclusions. Data from the literature indicate the existence of a clear relationshipbetween signaling pathways of apoptosis and autophagy in the conditions of variouspathological processes, which is carried out through key mediators, in particular, calcium(Ca2+), lipid rafts, ERLIN, PINK1, etc. Cell death is a promising therapeutic target forthe treatment of human diseases.
