Current state and prospects for the development of Chinese-Russian tourism cooperation in the framework of the One Belt, One Road project

Abstract

Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative helps to deepen the comprehensive partnership between China and Russia. Tourist exchanges are one of the tools for developing friendship between the two neighboring countries and contribute to strengthening the economy. Despite the new global challenges thrown by the tourism industry as a whole, the business partnership mechanism provides new points of economic growth. Tourism is one of the leading and most dynamic sectors of the economy. And, implementing the One Belt, One Road project, China and Russia are following the path of mutually beneficial cooperation. However, there are still many factors hindering its development. The article touches upon topics related to overcoming emerging problems and prospects for the development of tourism exchange.
