The influence on the durability, structural rigidity, and other physical and mechanical properties of dental materials is profound. Additionally, they have attracted the attention of dental researchers worldwide as potent antimicrobial agent. Abstract

Recently, the use of ionic liquids (ILs) as potential solvents in dentistry has increased. Dental polymers use ionic liquids as solvents, plasticizers, surfactants, and disinfectants. Additionally, they possess antibacterial and antifungal properties. This review aimed to evaluate the potential of task‐specific liquids in dental applications.
