Abstract

The deification of man, an act which has as its consequence the transfiguration of creation. By deifying human nature, Christ gives man the possibility, by opening himself to grace and working with it, to actualize on a personal level the union between human nature and the divine nature which was produced in the Person of the Son. Man opens himself to Christ, so that Christ may work and take shape in him, and man, through the sanctification of his own body, may work for the sanctification of the whole universe, so that all creation may be filled with the glory of the Creator of all. Man unites himself with Christ, and Christ works in tandem with him to fill all creation with grace
