Abstract

Moderate attitude is often associated with efforts to re-knit into relationships between humans who live in a religious atmosphere and are also full of social diversity. There is a general awareness that emerges among millennials, requiring a gentle attitude and diversity, the reality of ethnic diversity, both in terms of race, religion and, culture, political orientation. Therefore, the attitude of religious moderation in the Indonesian context. Moderation of Islamic teachings is actually in accordance with the mission of the Islamic religion which is Rahmatan lil 'Alamin, this is shown by the teachings of Islam in the form of a prohibition on doing injustice to others. So Islam agrees with the attitude of anti-violence in socializing in society, understanding and accepting differences that may occur, prioritizing the contextualization of religious teachings in interpreting the divine verse, using legal istinbath to apply actual law in society and using scientific and technological approaches to justify and overcome the dynamics of problems that arise in Indonesian society.
