Objectives: To investigate the importance of parents in the process of speech therapy evolution for their child(ren ). Methods: It consists of analytical and cross-sectional research, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Results: The research was composed of 14 (100%) mothers, aged 36 to 46 years, married 12 (85.71%), living in the same house with the father, with children referred for speech therapy 06 (42, 86%) diagnosed with simple language delay, 01 (7.14%), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), 01 (7.14%) Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and 06 (42.86%) other pathologies and highlighted that they carried out activities guided by professional speech therapists at home, 12 (85.71%) due to the importance for the evolution of therapies.
