Abstract
A Cocoa pod shell is waste that can be used as an organic inhibitor. Cocoa pod skin contains tannins which are raw materials in the manufacture of organic inhibitors. The reason for this research is to ascertain whether cocoa pod extract can influence the rate at which iron nails corrode in a medium containing a 3% NaCl solution. The concentrations of cocoa pod extract utilized were 1%, 2%, 4%, 8%, 16%
