The plots contained 5 lines with 90 plants in total, and 20 useful plants, being 1 central line, 1 on the right side, 1 on the left side and 1 line edge on the right side and 1 line edge on the left side. Leaves were collected on the central lines, the right and left side of each plot and sent for leaf analysis of nutrient content and the data were subjected to the analysis of regression variance. The project was developed at Fazenda Terra Nobre, in Meridiano, São Paulo State.
