Abstract
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Senior project meetings were changed to be online. As a result, discussions with students became more difficult, leading to a deterioration of student outcomes. Therefore, a workshop consisting of group work and reflection was conducted to have the students introduce a foundational thinking mindset for identifying and solving problems on their own. As a result, the quality of the graduation thesis was improved, and the survey results indicated that the students themselves felt more confident in their work. Based on these results, we showed that the workshop was effective in promoting a change in the students’ awareness in the early stages of their graduation research. This paper presents the content of this workshop and discusses its results.
