Flocculation was obtained using the three proposed bases: sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide and sodium carbonate. Results and conclusion: The efficiency tended to increase with increased pH. Sodium hydroxide as the base produced better results for pH values 11 and 12. Research implications: Possibility of dual use of microalgae, in bioremediation and, in doing so, in the production of biomass that can later be converted into biofuels. Abstract
