Abstract
There are so many scientific evidences that human activity is changing the environment in ways that will almost certainly bring about major shifts in the earth's climate, bringing seriously negative consequences for humans. There is a need to better understand the beliefs and attitudes of members of the general population. The present study has been undertaken to study the environmental attitude of school-college, male-female students of Surguja district. The first question of the present study was to examine whether male and female respondents would show significant difference in their environmental attitude. The second question of the present study was to examine whether the school and college students would show significant difference in their environmental attitude. A total of 100 students-50 male and 50 female (age groups 10–15 and 21–25 years)-were randomly selected for study. Environmental attitude scale developed by Dr. N.N. Shrivastava and Ku. Shashiprabha Dubey was used. The data were analysed by using CR. Results show that CR for the gender and age towards environmental attitude were found to be insignificant.
