Abstract

The Direct Torque Control of induction machine is distinguished by a simplified structure minimizing the influence of parameters of the machine. However, its major drawback is torque and flux ripples. In this context, this paper presents a contribution to torque and flux ripples improvement; it is a novel DTC drive that combines the modified DTC and DTC with fuzzy-PI controller schemes. The novel DTC technique is tested by simulation under Matlab/Simulink in order to evaluate its performances. Simulation results are presented and compared to the conventional DTC results.
