Abstract
Nowadays, most of cellular users and data traffics are performed in indoor environment. Femtocells are proven in enhancing the quality of service of indoor users. Generally, femtocells are installed without being planned by users, and cannot be controlled directly by operator. It causes major problem such as cross-tier interference. Handover process solves this interference problem by changing serving node for users around femtocells. Location of femtocells are generally adjacent to each other. Hence, the selection of an appropriate handover target becomes very important. In this paper, we analyzed new algorithm by considering RSRP and femtocell closest distance to determine the handover target. The algorithm makes the handover target chosen appropriately. Simulation results show that the use of our proposed algorithm produces CDF of SINR better than considering RSRP only.
