Abstract

The parliamentary government system adopted by the 1961 Constitution was abandoned with the constitutional amendment made in Turkey on April 16, 2017 and the elections held on June 24, and a new government model called the Presidential government system, which prioritizes the executive among the forces, was adopted. In accordance with the nature of the government system, the Law on Basic Provisions of Elections and Electoral Registers and Law No. 7102 of 13 March 2018 and the Law on Amending Certain Laws have been amended, allowing political parties to participate in the elections by forming alliances.
