O tema da prática na pedagogia histórico-crítica

Abstract

This article discloses the results of an analysis of the concept of practice in DermevalSaviani’s thought, taking Historical-Critical Pedagogy as his central work. This review is part of a broader research that focuses on the study of the notion that "practice is the sole criterion of truth". Our general aim is to deepen the understanding of “practice”: (a) in the work of Barata-Moura; (b) in the work of Marx and Engels, (c) in the theoretical strands that support a historical-critical approach to teacher training in Brazil; (d) in the Doctoral thesis and Master dissertations focused on the notion of practice as a leading concept in teacher training. We intend to help establishing a critical inventory about the concept of practice in the theoretical material that, in accord with the dialectical materialist method, support the training of teachers in Brazil.
