Abstract

This article presents the comparison of two diagnostics methods, widely used for stator winding asymmetry detection. Several laboratory measurements were performed on induction motor and both diagnostics methods were used. The axial magnetic stray flux was measured by a special coil, mounted on the top of the fan cover, while the stator currents were recorded by an oscilloscope. All signals were analyzed and compared. Goal of the whole experiment was to compare sensitivity and suitability of described methods for low-voltage induction motor fault diagnostics.
