This paper selects wheel-track wheelchair for design and research, by comparing the existing wheelchair types. According to the working mode, the overall frame diagram of the control system is designed. Wheelchair climbing stairs is divided into two stages. The purpose of this paper is to study the motion performance of two stages to achieve the goal of wheelchair climbing. The finite element analysis of the key parts of the stair climbing wheelchair is realized by Workbench in ANSYSY software. The bending moment and torque are checked theoretically, which provides a reliable basis for the design of the wheelchair.
