Abstract
We have carried out a comparative analysis of the indicators of the quality of life of patients with various phenotypes of occupational bronchial asthma (OBA). In all phenotypes of the disease, the patients had a decrease in both mental and physical health indicators relative to the control group (p<0.001). Notably, the patients with the OBA phenotype with metabolic syndrome demonstrated the worst quality of life indicators. The individuals of this group had the lowest average scores in 6 out of 8 scales of the MOS SF-36 questionnaire, and the reliability of differences was confirmed in 5 scales: those of physical functioning, general health, vitality, social and role functioning, associated with emotional state. The quality of life suffered least of all in patients with non-allergic OBA phenotype: the results of this group were the best among the patients with different disease phenotypes in 5 scales, with 4 scales having significantly higher scores.
