Abstract

The generated power by a solar panel is directly related to the level of solar radiation on the panel. Thus a system capable of tracking the solar movement improves the efficiency in the generated power. This work presents a study and construction of a sun tracking prototype in order to follow the movement of the sun during the day and increase the power generated by the panel. The aim was to build a simplified and low-cost structure that increases the performance of the system in 12 - 18 percent.
