Penelitian ini didesain dengan model penelitian research and development (R&D), menggunakan 4D-models yang terdiri dari 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Hasil uji validitas kelayakan instrumen adalah 3.31, instrumen dinyatakan sangat layak karena nilai validasi berada pada rentang 3.26-4.00. Hasil reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan Alpha Cronbach penilai 1 memiliki skor 1.308 dan penilai 2 memiliki skor 1.311, kedua instrumen dinyatakan reliabel karena nilai Alpha lebih dari 0.95. Uji reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan percentage agreement dengan kategori reliabel tinggi dengan hasil reliabilitas > 75%. Hasil angket respon guru terhadap efektivitas penggunaan instrumen performance assessment sebesar 92.5 %  dari penilai 1 dan 87.5 dari penilai 2. This study aims to develop assessment instruments, especially Performance Assessment in practicum activities on Dynamic Electricity material and to test the feasibility of the instruments generated through validation, reliability and also the effectiveness of instrument use. This research was conducted in March-April 2020 at SMA Negeri 1 Langsa with the research subjects are teachers and students of class XII IPA T.A 2019/2020. This study was designed with a research and development (R&D) research model, using 4D-models, using 4D models which consists of 4 stages of development, namely defining (defining), designing (designing), developing (developing), and disseminate (penyebaran). The result of the instrument feasibility validity test was 3.31, the instrument was declared very feasible because the validation value was in the range 3.26-4.00. The results of the reliability of the instrument using Cronbach's Alpha rater 1 had a score of 1.308 and rater 2 had a score of 1.311, both instruments were declared reliable because the Alpha value was more than 0.95. The instrument reliability test used a percentage agreement with the high reliability category with the result reliability> 75%.
