VULNERABILITY TO CLIMATIC DROUGHT OF THE SOILS FROM THE ROMANIAN PLAIN

Abstract

Given the climate, soil and geographic conditions, approximately one third of our country area is affected by drought, which translates into a very low bioproductivity and a decrease in the capability of using the land under sustainable exploitation of soil resources. In this way are induced some restrictions regarding land use in territorial economy. The phenomenon is affecting large areas and periods in most of the Romanian Plain.
