Based on the cross-sectional data of six cities in 2019, principal component analysis and cluster analysis are used to measure the smart tourism competitiveness of the capital cities of the six central provinces. The results show that: (1) Urban infrastructure construction, tourism economic development and technological support capabilities play a key role in the competitiveness of urban smart tourism; (2) According to the competitiveness of urban smart tourism, the six cities can be divided into three levels: Wuhan, a highly competitive city, Zhengzhou, Hefei and Changsha, a medium-competitive city, and Taiyuan and Nanchang, a less competitive city. Abstract
This article studies the smart tourism competitiveness of the capital cities of six provinces in central China.
