ON THE ISSUE OF THESAURUS RESEARCH IN RUSSIAN AND CHINESE LINGUISTICS: INTERPRETATION OF MEANING AND THE ROLE IT PLAYS IN SCIENTIFIC TERMINOLOGY

Abstract

Chinese research into “thesaurus” (translated into a dictionary of meanings) is scarce, and there are few studies on terminology, semantic relations and practical applications. The purpose of this paper is to explore the terminology and semantic relationship found in semantic dictionaries. Combining the classification criteria of the semantic relations in Russian and Chinese, this paper studies the application of the semantic dictionary in scientific terminology processing, core terminology system construction and language vocabulary teaching. Through the theoretical investigation and specific semantic analysis of the lexical system of the semantic dictionary, the linguistic value of the semantics, its distribution and aggregation characteristics are explored, and its great role in term description is explored.
