Abstract
The overhead transmission lines (OHTL) are responsible and at the same time, one of the most vulnerable elements of electric power system, damage and emergency abnormal deviation of overhead lines (OHL) leads to significant damage for network organizations and consumers. The most severe and hard-to-remove emergency on the OHL are ice forming emergency caused by formation of glaze-ice and rime depositions (GIRD) on the wires of the OHL, which combining with wind loads can cause to damage of OHL structure (broken conductors, breakage of cross arms and shoes etc.) [1]. Therefore, the scientific community and personnel of electric grid companies pay the problem of the influence gust-and-glazes loading on the reliability of electrical power supply system's great attention.
