The auxiliary noise gain is adjusted according to the ratio of reference signal power and error microphone signal power. Abstract

Auxiliary noise is used for online secondary path modeling (SPM) in active noise control (ANC) system. In this paper, a new auxiliary noise power adjustment method is proposed to control the auxiliary noise power. Large auxiliary noise power makes SPM filter converge quickly in the initial stage of ANC system. The auxiliary noise power decays rapidly with the convergence of ANC system for improving the steady-state performance of ANC system.
