Espaços subutilizados na cidade contemporânea: análise dos vazios urbanos industriais de Medellín

Abstract

A reintegração de vazios urbanos às estruturas urbanas tem pautado as intervenções urbanísticas em cidades da Europa e América, desde a década de 1980. No entanto, observa-se que algumas dessas experiências são definidas sem avisão geral da realidade na qual o vazio se insere, contribuindo à configuração de fragmentos urbanos. Ante essa situação, o presente estudobusca identificar as principais variáveis da estrutura urbana que possam ser utilizadas na análise de vazios urbanos industriais,a fim de compreender sua situação urbanae a partir disso, determinar possíveis tipos de vazio. Consideram-se como hipótese de verificação da estrutura urbana algumasvariáveis de legitimidade do espaço e variáveis sistêmicas - morfológicas e funcionais, as quais foram aplicadasà cidade de Medellín, Colômbia. The reintegration of urban voids in the urban structure has guided the urban interventions in cities of Europe and America, since the 1980. However, it has been noticeable that in some of these experiences are defined without the overview of the reality in which the void is inserted, contributing to the configuration of urban fragments. Before this situation, the present study seeks to identify the main variables of the urban structure that can be used in the analysis of industrial urban voids, in order to understand its urban situation and from that, determine possible types of voids. It were considered as the verification hypothesis of the urban structure some variables of legitimacy of space and systemic variables –morphological and functional, which were applied to the city of Medellín, Colombia.
