The quality of life analysis in the context of the global problems of the present day

Abstract

In the article, the acute problems of the present day as challenges to sustainable development are brought into line with the main global problems. It is considered the quality of life against the backdrop of the aggravation of the problem of limited economic resources, the problem of anthropogenic pollution and the related problem of global warming, as well as the problem of population increase compared to the available amount of planetary resources. The main directions of the application of the Quality of life Methodology for assessing the quality of life, developed at the IRES RAS, for increasing the effectiveness of the regional management are shown.
