Abstract
A novel profile detection method is proposed for astronomical fiber spectrum signals with low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). This approach can be applied to the pretreatment of spectra extracting for astronomical spectrum data. The Wigner transform (WT) algorithm, a classical time-frequency analysis method, is introduced and applied to deal with the spectrum signals. Combining with adaptive filtering by using the corresponding reference signal (flat signal), we separate noise fromtarget signal for getting more accurate information. And the reconstruction method of theWigner distribution function (WDF) is used to acquire the detection signal. At the end of this paper, experiments for different full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of point-spread functions (PSF) are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
