Abstract

Democracy and education of John Dewey present on The national problem of Dario Salas: A purpose of the centennial of both works. Last year (2017) commemorated the 100th anniversary of the most significant work of the Chilean educator Dario Salas, The national problem. Basis for the reconstruction of our elementary school system (1917). In the context of both centenarians is analyzed the influence of the work of the American educator in the text of the Chilean educator.
