Creative heuristics: A trickle-down pedagogy

Abstract

This paper discusses an invention-based, trickle-down pedagogy using a concept known as creative heuristics as the principal driver for innovation in learning in technical communication education. It adopts a "train-the-trainer" approach to graduate education that promises to deliver new and exciting learning outcomes both on the graduate and undergraduate levels where it is ultimately applied. This learning style incorporates a fail fast pedagogy designed to encourage exploration and invention through creative processes. Critical thinking meets creative thinking to produce real, smart innovation for learners in the new digital economy.
