A Scanning Microstrip Antenna on Ferrite Substrate and its Application as Diathermy Applicator

Abstract

The paper is referred to a microstrip element on a ferrimagnetic substrate which presents some interesting characteristics suitable for radiation in a nonhomogenous medium (biological medium) due to its physical properties. The paper presents the main characteristics of this radiator and indicate the possibilities to apply this radiating element as an applicator for diathermy treatment.
