Abstract

This paper reports a selective wireless active valve mechanism for a centrifugal microfluidic compact disk operated using field frequency modulation techniques. The reported technique offers a further advancement in the centrifugal microfluidic field by enabling full control on the liquid flow. The localized and selective RF wireless heating of paraffin wax active valves was utilized to control the liquid flow in centrifugal CD.
