MAPPING OF HEALTH PROFILE OF DIABETIC PATIENTS IN CHERLAPALLY VILLAGE NALGONDA TELANGANA INDIA

Abstract

: As a part of community pharmacy interaction with people plays a key role in bringing awareness about chronic diseases in the rural areas. Diabetes is a chronic endocrine disease, affecting people of both genders and across all age groups, and is currently considered a major public health challenge globally. This study aims to assess the public’s knowledge, awareness, and health profile.A cross-sectional survey was carried out for over 4 months from February 2023 to May 2023 using a survey, offline questionnaire.Data were descriptively analyzed. A total of 135 families surveyed, the major participants were Diabetic patients.The male diabetic patients bears 49%,the female diabetic patients bears 51%. Diabetes slow killer with no known curable treatments.However, it's complications can be reduced through proper awareness and timely treatment. Three major complications are related to blindness, kidney damage and heart attack. It is important to keep the blood glucose levels of patients under strict control for avoiding the complications.One of the difficulties strict control of glucose levels in the blood is that such attempts may lead to hypoglycemia that creates much severe complications than an increased level of blood glucose. Researchers now look for alternative methods for diabetes treatment.The goal of this project is to give a general idea of current status of diabetes research on charlapally village.
