The type of high voltage sources used to supply electrostatic precipitators largely determines their collection efficiency. The paper presents the main high voltage sources that can be used to supply cylindrical-type electrostatic precipitators used in low power boilers (up to 50 kW) in the home and residential sectors. With the development of power electronics, it is relatively easy to make high voltage sources (up to 25 kV) that can be used successfully to supply electrostatic precipitators electrodes.
