Abstract

The nanosized Ca/sub 9/Co/sub 12/O/sub 28/ powder was synthesized via a sol-gel process. The phase composition was characterized by means of X-ray diffraction. Polycrystalline samples of Ca/sub 9/Co/sub 12/O/sub 28/ were prepared by a sintering procedure of nanosized power. The Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity of the samples were measured from 573K up to 1073K. The Seebeck coefficient increases with increasing temperature.
