Abstract

One of the best innovated Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices is the thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC). This device is effective to alter power system parameters in order to increase power transfer capability. Therefore the paper investigates modelling of TCSC and a sensitivity based approach to decide optimal location of TCSC.
