Abstract

Computerized Tomography (CT) scan allows for the analysis of anatomy of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses and its drainage. Various staging systems are available in assessing the severity of CRS based on CT scan imaging. Gliklich and Metson introduced the Harvard staging system in assessing the extent of CRS which involves the division of paranasal sinus and staged based on the opacity and mucosal thickness of each sinus.2 CT imaging assesses both anatomic variations of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinus as well as extent of the disease.
